Are you a mom constantly feeling burned out, with little energy left for yourself? As a woman, do you struggle to prioritize your own health and fitness goals?

From my own fertility challenges and journey to becoming a mom, I’ve developed a deep passion for and expertise in pre- and postnatal care, as well as women’s health. There is a significant lack of awareness and specialized training for women to navigate the major changes their bodies undergo through life.

I believe it’s a disservice to all women not to be fully informed about women’s health topics and awareness of our own bodies! 

Women often prioritize others, but it’s essential to also focus on ourselves, setting an example of self-care. This is especially important as we age and navigate the roller coaster of hormones, perimenopause and menopause.

Training and strengthening our bodies not only gives us the freedom of movement but also allows us to age well and support our hormonal health.

My goal is to help you achieve this, so you can thrive at every stage of life.

After my 2nd delivery of my baby, I suffered from an extreme case of diastisis recti which caused many issues. Mel is very patient and always tailor the teaching to my body needs. We started off by breathing exercise, regaining my core muscles and slowly doing strengthening exercise. The exercises are very intentional to focus on fixing the problem area. After about a year, I feel my body has recovered and I could join group yoga classes. Appreciate the teaching and I would strongly recommend Mel to anyone who would like to recover from postpartum.

About Melanie

With over a decade of teaching experience, I am more than just a yoga instructor—I’m a Pre and Postnatal Core Exercise Specialist (PCES) and a certified mobility specialist (FRCms). I’m a lifelong learner and a self-proclaimed movement nerd who could geek out about the body all day long. As a mom to a feisty little girl and someone who has faced my own history of injuries, aches, pains, and complex surgical health challenges, I understand the journey to wellness on a deeply personal level.

My personal health journey has led me to where I am today, grounded in five key pillars:

Helping overcome movement struggles and trust in the process to heal and feel good your body. My goal is to guide you on your path to wellness with empathy and expertise.

2. Build Strong Foundations
Breathing is the bedrock of strong foundations. I’ve witnessed the healing and transformative power of better breathing, which sets the stage for all other forms of movement. 

3. Train Smarter

Improving joint mobility, understanding the intention behind movement are essential to staying connected and strong in your body, especially as we age. I use effective training strategies for every stage of life, helping you overcome imbalances and increase longevity.

I strive to make people feel seen and heard, fostering a community of movers both in real life and online. Alongside this, my mission is to help you feel more connected and aware in your own body.

It’s not about the quantity but the quality of movement. Aches and pains are your body’s way of saying, “Move me, please!” Not only about carving out an hour for fitness, but listening to your body’s cues and making movement sustainable—throughout the day. I aim to help you form habits that will last a lifetime.
